This informal working group of researchers was established in 2011. Any researchers interested in using RAID, or in the outcomes of drilling, are welcome to participate. As feasible, regular meetings are convened at the annual meeting of the American Geophysical Union, and future meetings will be convened to involve the research community in RAID opportunities and collaboration. As RAID moves from development to deployment, these meetings will be critical for enlisting scientists with relevant interests and skills to become involved in the user community. Additional workshops will be considered to address issues of specific interest.
